Guwahati, November 10 : In a bid to empower the farmer community of North East and to help them come out of their mental and emotional distress, the Rural Development Wing of Rajyoga Education and Research Organisaiton (RERF), a sister organisation of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya has organised “ Sampurna Gram Vikash Kishan Sanmalen “ today at Sonaram H.S. Playground here. The program aimed to introduce to the farmers the unique concept of “ Shaswat Yogic Kheti “ which is a judicious blend of Organic Farming and Rajyoga Meditation. More than 3,000 farmers from various parts of the state participated in the august gathering attended by many dignitaries and officials from State Government as well.
Participating as Chief Guest from Mehsana, Gujrat, Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sarala Didi, Chairperson, Agriculture and Rural Development Wing, RERF urged the farmers to adopt “ Shaswat Yogic Kheti “ for health and well being of the entire nation. She reiterated that just as Mahatma Gandhi had made a determined thought to free the country from British Rule, let the farmers use this power of thought and decide that they would not make their fellow countrymen consume poison in the name of enhanced productivity. She said that farm produce from Shaswat Yogic Kheti gives more nutrition, health and satisfaction than chemical based fertilizers besides being more effective than chemical pesticides.
Speaking as Special Guest, Sri Ranjit Das, President, Assam State Committee, BJP, expressed happiness that being a spiritual organisation, the Brahma Kumaris are beautifully accomplishing the task of farmer’s empowerment which was hitherto considered as only government’s duty. He said that the State Government is working tooth and nails to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of making North-East hub of organic farming and would provide all necessary support to the Brahma Kumaris in their endeavour to empower farmers.
Dr John Ekka, Principal Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Govt. of Assam addressed the gathering as representative of Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Govt. of Assam said that today the same west which has introduced chemical farming has turned towards organic farming. He also said that the state government has taken up various schemes to ensure that our food, water and environment does not get polluted by use of chemicals and urged the farmers to make use of all these schemes.
Brahma Kumar Sumanth Bhai, Head Quarter Co-ordinator, Agriculture and Rural Wing, RERF, Mount Abu explained to the farmers the ways and methods to implement Shaswat Yogic Kheti technique which not only improves quality of the produce but also its quantity.
Sri Dhiren Kalita, Principal Scientist, Assam Agricultural University stated that is a matter of grave concern that farmers are not able to make enough earning so that they can save for the education of their children and treatment of their family members. He advised the farmers to take up multi crop cultivation to enhance their earnings and also approach the regional Krishi Vigyan Kendra regularly for help in this regard.
Addressing the Kisan Sanmalen, Sri Mukut Deka, Vice Chairman, GMDA agreed that if Shaswat Yogic Kheti is implemented by farmers, the future of our coming generation gets secured.
The Kishan Sanmalen was also addressed by Sri Pran Kumar Das, President and Sri.Mukul Bora, Vice President, BJP Kishan Morcha. Smt. Manju Rani Barman, Principal, Sonaram H. S. School thanked the organisers to take up such an important issue and wished that the government include Shaswat Yogic Kheti in School Curriculum.
Earlier, Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sheela, Incharge, Guwahati Sub-Zone, Brahma Kumaris welcomed the participants and Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Panchatapa conducted the mass meditation session. Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Jonali, Incharge, Nalbari and Baska Centers of Brahma Kumaris beautifully co-ordinated the stage and Sri. Vijay Gupta, Chairman, Assam Financial Corporation, Guwahati placed vote of thanks. A beautiful dance was also performed by group led by Ms. Namrata Tiwari and Brahma Kumari Mridu presented a song written by Lt. Bhupen Hazarika.

Silver Jubilee Celebration of Brahma Kumaris New Guwahati Centre, Guwahati, Assam:

Guwahati, 24 November 2024: The Brahma Kumaris New Guwahati Centre, celebrating the completion of 25 years of its glorious journey, organized the Silver Jubilee Festival today at the playground of Guwahati Refinery, located at Noonmati Sector-2. The event commenced with a welcome address by Brahma Kumari Moushumi and was attended by key dignitaries including Pradeep Kumar Basumatary, the Chief General Manager and Head of the Guwahati Refinery, and Kanaksen Deka, Editor of Dainik Agradoot newspaper and former President of Assam Sahitya Sabha.

The keynote speaker, Rajyogini BK Sarada Didi, National Coordinator of the Women’s Wing, Brahma Kumaris, in her speech, emphasized the importance of spiritual education and Rajyoga practices taught by Brahma Kumaris. She mentioned that through these practices, individuals can overcome life’s problems and maintain mental peace and stability, even in challenging or negative situations. Rajyogini Sarada Didi highlighted that one can lead a spiritual life while being active in their day-to-day work, and by following the spiritual path, one can conquer negative tendencies and live a pure and peaceful life, just like the lotus flower. She also cited the example of Meera Bai, stating that though the spiritual path may not always be smooth, with determination, one can definitely reach their goal.

In his address, Kanaksen Deka, Editor of Dainik Agradoot newspaper and former President of Assam Sahitya Sabha, shared his enriching experiences at the Brahma Kumaris’ headquarters in Mount Abu, describing it as a place where, if there is heaven on Earth, it is here—because everyone, regardless of their race, religion, caste, or language, worships the Supreme Soul, God, in the form of a divine light. He pointed out the current moral decline in society, marked by fraud, corruption, and greed, and praised Brahma Kumaris for their selfless service in promoting human values and ethics. He also expressed concern over the rapid decline of humanity and called for a collective meeting of community leaders to address this issue, urging Brahma Kumaris to take the lead in organizing such a gathering.

Senior Rajyoga and Management Trainer, Rajyogini BK Usha Didi, also spoke at the event, shedding light on the importance of Rajyoga and meditation, and led the audience in a meditation practice session.

Pradeep Kumar Basumatary, the Chief General Manager and Head of Guwahati Refinery, shared his personal experience in his speech, stating that a positive mindset creates a positive atmosphere that fosters happiness and peace. He further stated that the Brahma Kumaris have been playing a significant role in spreading vibrations of peace, happiness, and love worldwide.

Rajyogini BK Rukmini Didi, the In-charge of the Brahma Kumaris Patna Zone, offered her congratulations to everyone attending the Golden Jubilee Celebration, wishing them success and peace.

Rajyogini  BK Jonali  Didi, In-charge, Brahma Kumaris Guwahati, Tripura, and Bangladesh chapter, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the mission of Brahma Kumaris in developing human values and creating a peaceful society.

Before the main event, a Peace Procession was held at 8:00 AM from the Brahma Kumaris New Guwahati Centre, passing through Jyoti Nagar, and proceeding to the Guwahati Refinery Playground. Thousands of brothers and sisters participated in this procession.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Senior Rajyoga Trainer, Brahma Kumar Rakesh Bhaiji, from Delhi. The members of Mangaldoi, Assam Youth Academy enhanced the elegance of the event by performing dance. The ceremony was coordinated by BK Dipanjali & BK Sarada.

Divya Prabhu Samapan Samaroh was also held on 24-11-2024 at the same venue where 17 Brahma Kumari sisters resolved to dedicate their entire lives to divine services.

As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, a transformative 3-day discourse titled “The Spiritual Secrets of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and its Application in Overcoming  Challenges of Life” by Rajyogini BK Usha Didiji was also held on 21st, 22nd & 23rd November, 2024. Thousands of people participated in these spiritual discourses. The discourse was inaugurated by Smti Bujili Kalita Medhi, Hon’ble MP, Guwahati Lok Sabha Constituency.
