Guwahati : On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Brahma Kumaris sisters of Guwahati tied rakhi to Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan. The First Lady Smt. Prem Mukhi, BK Maushumi, BK Sarada, BK Lipika and brother BK Uddhab Saikia were present on the occasion. The Hon’ble Governor thanked the sisters for tying him rakhi. He said this age-old tradition of tying thread signifies a special bond between brothers and sisters and symbolizes an auspicious thread of love and trust. He hoped that the pious occasion of Raksha Bandhan would strengthen the bond of relations and the commitment to dignity of women.
Chief Minister of Assam, Sri. Sarbananda Sonowal tied the bond of spiritual protection, Rakhi, by Brahma Kumaris Sisters from Guwahati namely BK Maushumi, BK Sarada, BK Lipika and brother BK Uddhab Saikia. The Chief Minister was all praise for the organisation stating that it promotes the much needed peace of mind and divine love in the society.
